Ending Qur'anic recitation by: 'Sadaq Allah-ul-`Azhim'

Q 2: Is the saying: "Sadaq Allah-ul-`Azhim" (Allah speaks truth) after reciting the Qur'an a Bid`ah (innovation in religion) and not a Sunnah?

A: Saying, “Sadaq Allah-ul-‘Azhim” after recitation is religiously groundless. Saying it therefore on a regular basis is a kind of Bid`ah that should be abandoned, as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
